My partner and I did the rainforest glow worm night tour with our guide Duff. We absolutely loved the experience. I myself am a bit wary of creepy crawlies but immediately felt at ease with our guide. Duff is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about the rainforest. We managed to see 2 huge carpet pythons, some lizards, eels, frogs and an assortment of spiders and of course the beautiful glow worms by the waterfall. The cake and coffee at the restaurant we stopped at was delicious. Overall it was a lovely few hours and would highly recommend the experience to others.
We greatly enjoyed the glow worm tour with our guide Duff. He presented his knowledge of the rain forest in an entertaining manner and demonstrated his knowledge further through the answers to questions. We were lucky enough to see many glow worms and the cake and coffee at the Manor was also very welcomed. However, I would recommend that better quality torches be provided as mine lost power which is not good when walking over uneven ground and steps in the dark.
We had such a great time on this tour! The first stop at the Manor was a great way to sit with the other customers and get to know a bit about them with some beautiful dessert, and the lookout stop showed views of the Gold Coast we wouldn’t get anywhere else! The rainforest walk was not only educational, but so so beautiful and the glow worms were beaming and we couldn’t take our eyes off of them. Our tour guide Harry was incredible and added so much to this experience! He is definitely the best tour guide either of us have ever had. He was extremely easy to get along with and kept conversations alive and interesting the entire trip. A huge thank you to him and his knowledge for making this tour one to remember, we can’t praise him enough.
The tour guide Andrew was great. He was knowledgeable and easy liking guy who made the tour an enjoyable experience for everyone. He is well suited to his job. The walk down to the glow worms and back again was easy, even for those those who were unfit. It was disappointing that the worms were not very illuminated but this could not be helped by any one except the worms themselves. The added element of having dessert before seeing the worms were a nice touch and all the group praised them. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
We did the Glow Worm tour at night, wasn’t really sure what to expect, but it was fantastic. Tour guide Duff did a great job in informing and educating us, as well as keeping it entertaining. The walk in the forest at night was great, and the stop off at the Manor really topped it off.
The glow worm tour was absolutely fantastic! Our guide Duff was knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour was well-paced and thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The glow worms were the highlight of course! And the coffee and cake on the way home was the perfect way to finish off an already marvellous experience. A must-visit for people looking to escape the city and see some of the beautiful natural wonders of the region.
We booked a tour for the glow worms at night and it was fantastic. Our tour guide, Harry was super friendly and knowledgeable about a plethora of things around the area. The tour included very nice cakes. We were lucky it was raining in the rain forest, which made it a different kind of nice experience. Harry gave us so much information about the area and once in the rainforest, we showed us around everything. After the tour, he also recommended great places around Gold Coast. Would definitely book another tour with "Southern Cross tours" and recommend it to anyone in the Gold Coast.
We met Harry the tour operator near our hotel at Broadbeach There was about 14 of us on the tour Firstly we stopped at Mt Tamborine to look at the cityscape from afar We then went to the Manor at Mt Tamborine for coffee and delicious cake After that we went to Curtis Falls within the Mt Tamborine National Park Along the 1km walk we saw some lovely trees, the canopy of the rainforest and a large waterfall There were many spiders, gloworms,an eel,an owl in a tree,a kangaroo, slug and a microbat. Also a paddymelon(small wallaby) Overall the walk took about 90 minutes with steps to guide you plus torches supplied Harry was very entertaining, hardworking and knowledgeable The operators recommend sensible shoes and a jacket due to the coolness on the mountain
