Kalumburu Road is a ten hour drive northwest of Kununurra. Before setting off, you will need to apply for two permits to allow you to travel on parts of the road that is Aboriginal land and to enter the Kalumburu Mission. Contact the Kununurra Visitor Centre for further information.
Allow a couple of days to reach Kalumburu and ensure you carry plenty of supplies, petrol, food and water as there are limited facilities along the road to the Kalumburu Mission. Check road conditions prior to departure.
